Episode 104 – Europe A Go Go

Play

It’s the start of the “European” part of the F1 season (until Canada breaks it up in 2 races time at least) and the Spanish Grand Prix is when we traditionally see the 1st major upgrades to the cars. RedBull will  be launching some major upgrades this weekend that have been at various times and by various journalists described as anything from a couple of minor tweaks, to a “B Spec” car and even in one case a 100% new car altogether!

We’ve got a preview of the upcoming Spanish race on this week’s podcast along with a round-up of the latest news from around the F1 paddock and a little excursion to the Indy Car paddock as well following Fernando Alonso’s rookie test for the Indy 500. Also we’ve finally got the feature that we’ve been promising which is “What the hell is the Indy 500 anyway?” where we try to make sense of the upcoming race that features 1000 left turns in 3 hours.

There’s the usual features too with an update on Formula Lee, this week’s Who’s A Total Shunt and a bit of a mailbag too. Massive thanks to Sian for stepping in again at short notice while Dan was away this week and sorry to everyone that tried to watch the stream on YouTube this week when we had internet problems. Normal service should be resumed for next week’s show (we hope!) and huge thanks for all your  TweetsEmails and Facebook posts  and don’t forget there’s an extra show that you can get access to by pledging on our Patreon Page too.

Enjoy!

As always, you can listen here or on Sticher and iTunes and most other podcast apps too along with TuneIn Radio
