So Max Verstappen has finally gone and got himself on pole position! It’s taken him 92 races to get this and with the form he’s in at the moment, 2 wins in the last 3 races, you’d expect him to convert this into his 8th win as well. This is a circuit that you’d think would suit RedBull too a tee with it’s slow corners and heavy dependence on aero and downforce, but the boys in blue have only won this race twice in their history and both of those were won by Australians (Mark Webber in 2010 and Daniel Ricciardo in 2014) so are the odds stacked against (I don’t believe I’m going to say this) the Flying Dutchman (sorry) this afternoon?
We’ll find out over the next couple of hours…
