Episode 286 – The Magnificent 7, Or Damon & 6 Others

PORTIMAO, PORTUGAL - MAY 02: Race winner Lewis Hamilton of Great Britain and Mercedes GP, second placed Max Verstappen of Netherlands and Red Bull Racing and third placed Valtteri Bottas of Finland and Mercedes GP celebrate with sparkling wine on the podium after the F1 Grand Prix of Portugal at Autodromo Internacional Do Algarve on May 02, 2021 in Portimao, Portugal. This year’s Portuguese Grand Prix threw up what some said wasn’t a thriller of a race, but there were still a few talking points to come out of the weekend’s race at a circuit we didn’t think would be on the calendar again after last year’s emergency addition.

This week on the podcast we do our usual team by team review of a race where we thought we’d find out if RedBull had the upper hand on Mercedes after Max Verstappen took the honours in Imola last time out and would Valtteri Bottas show some bouncebackability after his last race ended in controversy and gravel.

All this and the usual tangents, diversions, trivia and Chris’ shoddy internet. And of course the ever tricky Who’s A Total Shunt.
