We had a pretty strong idea of how qualifying was going to play out, but we had no idea it was going to go the way it did in the end. We had changing weather, a red flag, Daniel Ricciardo not making it out of Q2 again and Ferrari getting a tyre strategy call wrong and leaving Sebastian Vettel stuck in 9th place on the grid on a circuit that doesn’t lend itself to overtaking (although he’ll start 8th due to Esteban Ocon’s 3 place penalty for speeding under red flags in FP3)
So what can Ferrari (and RedBull for that matter) do to get something out of today? We haven’t got a clue, but it’ll be interesting to find out. Paul, & Dan (and maybe Chris too) are here to take you through the action (and we won’t mention that we’re kicking this off at 4:30 in the morning!)
I swear, this race better be worth it after setting the alarm this early 😒 I’m feeling a big turn 1 incident…
Have a coffee to wake yourself up!
