2019 Mexican Grand Prix – LIVE

So this is nice and straightforward then, Max Verstappen sets the fastest time in Q3 and gets pole position. They have the grid interview and then on to the press conference where the top 3 qualifiers all go and do their media duties with their nice pre-packaged answers for the world’s press.

And here’s where it all goes wrong for him; admitting to not lifting off when he saw Valtteri Bottas wipe out big style right in front of him and then saying that he wasn’t worried about losing his lap time as he had the 2nd fastest one anyway didn’t go over too well with the stewards and a couple of hours later he gets hit with a 3 place grid drop. So the message here is don’t try and bluster it out, it won’t work!

In the meantime we’ve still got a race today and it’s the 3rd Mexican Grand Prix in a row where the World Driver’s Championship could be decided, this time all Lewis Hamilton needs is to score 14 points more than his Finnish team-mate and it’s done. Simple right? Given what’s going on this weekend, nothing’s going to be simple, but Paul’s here with Chris, Dan & Sian to take you though what does happen…

(Also did we mention that there’s a chance of rain towards the end of the race?)
