Lando Norris will start the Italian Grand Prix from pole position after setting the pace in qualifying at Monza.

The Briton’s closest challenger was his teammate Oscar Piastri, who’ll start alongside him on the front row, while Mercedes and Ferrari also showed good pace.

There was disappointment for Red Bull though, as Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez struggled and will start from the fourth row.

Franco Colapinto made his qualifying debut as an F1 driver, having replaced Logan Sargeant at Williams, and was unable to show the best of his one-lap pace after running wide and through the gravel.

Kevin Magnussen suffered a gearbox issue late on in final practice, and continued to encounter issues as his car ground to a halt in Q1, briefly resulting in a yellow flag, before the Dane was able to bring his Haas back to the pits.

Both Aston Martin drivers struggled to get the best from their car, with Lance Stroll dropping out in Q1, before Fernando Alonso missed out on a spot in the top 10.

Alex Albon and Nico Hulkenberg continued to show their strong in qualifying as they both made it through to Q3, with Albon just edging ahead of the Haas driver for ninth.
