It’s going to be a long night tonight (or a long day if you’re in Japan) with qualifying and the race all on the same day after all of Saturday’s action was called off due to Super Typhoon Hagibis threatening most of Southern Japan. After Friday’s 2 practice sessions, it’s Mercedes that have been on top, but is that likely to change by the time qualifying starts. Also are we going to see a conservative qualifying session from some drivers as any damage done to the cars might not be fixable in the 3 1/2 hours between the start of Q1 and the pit lane opening? We’re in for the long haul here tonight at 3 legs towers, although there might be a bit of a power nap between Q3 and the track parade, but we’ll give it our best shot! Paul’s here with Chris, Dan, Sian and a bucket of coffee (other caffeinated drinks are available, although some are more available than others) to take you through the whole thing.
