Last week on the podcast we wondered how long it would take Max Verstappen to move up to the main Red Bull Racing team. Turned out it we didn’t have long to wait at all! After Danii Kvyat’s performance in Russia it looks like Helmut Marko has made the call early and the 18 year old “World Champion in waiting” (or Mad Max)  has found himself moving up to the big team after 4 races of this season. It seems like a bold move by Red Bull, but as a brand, they’re not exactly known for being shy & retiring when it comes to anything!

Also on this week’s podcast we look forward to this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which is the traditional start of the European season and usually brings a few upgrades for teams (with 1 notable exception). There’s also the 1st in-season test after the race which will give the teams (with 1 notable exception) a chance to give their younger development drivers some time in the car instead of the simulator.

There’s all the other news and opinions as well on this week’s show and if you want to get in touch, then you can tweet us on @3legs4wheels or drop us an email on [email protected]

Enjoy
