Episode 220 – The 6th New Name In 10 Years

Play

Charles Leclerc has added his name to the list of Grand Prix winners and he’s only the 6th driver to do that this decade, such has been the balance of power in Formula One recently.

The Monegasque Ferrari driver took pole on Saturday and converted it into a win on Sunday despite a late charge from Lewis Hamilton on a weekend that was overshadowed by the tragic accident that took the life of F2 driver Anthoine Hubert.

This week on the podcast we look back to the Belgian Grand Prix which because of Saturday’s incident was an understandably sullen affair, but the entire motorsport community did what it can to pull together in times like these. We’ve got our usual team by team review of the race that might have given us a few clues as to what’s going to go on with contract renewals and driver movements for 2020. There’s also a bit of preview of this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix in Monza where Ferrari will want to both keep up the momentum from Sunday’s victory and also get revenge on Mercedes for their 1-2 finish in front of the Tifosi last year and the formation cool-down lap that followed it.

There’s also the usual features with a  Who’s A Total Shunt, and a new Formula Lee challenge (Italy in the wet in an Alfa Romeo)  and don’t forget to sign up for our league in the official Fantasy F1 game and we’ve got our own predictions league running too that you can take part in.

Don’t forget about our extra show on our Patreon page where you can get an exclusive extra podcast for as little as $1 a month. And if you want your own 3Legs4Wheels t-shirt  you can get one from our shop at Teepublic

Enjoy
