Episode 164 – We’re Deliberately Incompetent

Play

Passions were running high at Silverstone at the weekend for the British Grand Prix where we got to see another Ferrari/Mercedes coming together in the first couple of corners. This week it was Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton that clashed, leading to a few off the cuff and un-thought out remarks from various members of the Mercedes team. After a suitable cooling off period everything was retracted and harmony prevails across the F1 paddock again (as much as it can be harmonious when there’s that much at stake)

This week on the podcast we look back at an action-packed British Grand Prix where Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari extended their respective leads at the top of both championships after a frantic and unprecedented triple-header of 3 Grands Prix over 3 consecutive weekends, a new low for Williams, the scariest suspension failure ever and another DNF for Romain Grosjean and loads more. As we head into a well needed weekend off for the teams this should give everyone some breathing room ahead of the 2nd half of the season (can’t believe we’re 10 races into 2018 already)

Of course, there’s all the usual stuff on the show as well with the results of the Silverstone Formula Lee challenge and how we’ve replaced the German GP on the F-Lee calendar, a Who’s A Total Shunt from the depths of Lee’s inbox (again) and the usual tangents as well. Don’t forget about our extra show on our Patreon page where you can get an exclusive extra podcast for as little as $1 a month. And don’t forget to check out our range of merch that you can order by clicking the link at the top of the page or here.

Enjoy
